Tanduay First Five 2013 in Davao City

Are you ready for the biggest rock concert in the Philippines?
If you want a sneak peek on last year's concert, you may check my blog post linked below

Closing the Tanduay First Five will be the Davao leg this coming Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Tionko Football Field (Agro Football Field) along the Quimpo Boulevard. The Five Bands playing this year will include Kamikazee, Wolfgang, Rico Blanco, Parokya ni Edgar and Sponge Cola with special participation of Gloc-9.

Tanduay, the Philippines’ leading producer of liquor , boasts its products for being a true Filipino pride--made by the Filipinos using only the best sugar canes from the Philippines. And what can be the best way to celebrate and enjoy your favorite Tanduay products than to listen and jam with the top rock bands in the Philippines.

So Davao, go and purchase your favorite Tanduay liquor. One 750ml Tanduay 5 years or 750ml Tanduay Light will give you one admission ticket in any participating outlet.

1. Davao Amigo Traders (Gov. Sales Street, Davao City near Sa’Less Diner)

2. WVP Lopson Inc. (F. Bangoy Street, Davao City near Homitori Dormitory)

3. Fortuna Supermarket (Marfori Street, Bankerohan, Davao City)

Tanduay Rockfest in Davao City

And this came in almost last in my 2012 backlogs...sorry my beloved readers but this 2013 should be better. Lets fix everything and get things in line.

Octoberfest is not only a month of flowing beers in the festive country of Philippines. Its also the month where endless concerts and parties happen.

Each year, Tanduay hosts a concert series that trails from the three main islands of the Philippines--Mindanao, Visayas and Luzon. For the Mindanao leg, my beloved Davao City as chosen as the venue and no better place than the speed city near the Crocodile Park is more appropriate to host such a big event.

With our favorite local bands in the list, we sought for the tickets, prepared our cameras and luckily on that day, we were allowed to sneak in the VIP area. We were just meters away from the stage and on some moments, the singers were just a hop away. :) To top it all, Up Dharma Down opened the concert (although with just a couple of songs)!

Okay okay, enough stories and allow me to share the few photos I had during the concert because I got too excited and forgot to charge my camera battery!!! (>fail<)

Maybe this year will have a better set of photos! :) Cheers!

Maroon 5 Live in Manila

So you might have read about this post I made a few months back. I tried my best to keep a countdown of it but I got caught up with the preparations for our PMDK Anniversary, the Kadayawan Festival of Davao, travels, and the busiest wedding coverage month ever!!!

The next thing I knew, it's already September and I needed to print my plane ticket and pack my stuff 'coz I'd be flying to Manila in the morning. We almost missed the flight and I lost my phone not to mention that my anti-allergy meds made me feel so drowsy and ended up like I am floating in the busy NAIA Terminal while looking for my phone and trying to navigate where to go. I was practically stealing any moment I could sleep! But everything became non-sense when my friend, Sang, and I stepped into Araneta Coliseum and the first drumbeat of 'Payphone' played :)

See that panda eyes of mine? Still trying not to fall asleep minutes before the front act.

When The Cab came out, I was still outside buying snacks but goosebumps traveled all throughout my body. I love a great crowd and the crowd for that concert was just amazing! So here are the photos (sorry, but DSLR's were prohibited in Araneta Coliseum) and the colorful night with Adam Levine and the Maroon 5.
