June in October

I woke up early this morning and bumped into this wonderful and romantic gown in the news feed.

I am an avid follower of June Bug Weddings Magazine and they featured today the 2013 collection of Temperley London! The wedding collection is not only very feminine but also (as I have mentioned earlier) very romantic and "effortlessly" gorgeous!

The team would describe their collection that ranges from "Grace Kelly inspired styles to more decadent 50’s Hollywood shapes; the collection is largely inspired by film noir screen sirens". Talk about being your own Kate Middleton in your wedding!

Here are my favorites:

No, your calendar is doing just fine. I just felt the need to post a feature of the Temperley Collection as early as now not only because that it seemed like Davao City weddings are all happening in August and October but also because its very timely for those scouting for their bridal gowns and catching up with the preparations for June Weddings.

To view the full wedding gown collection from the fabulous Temperley London, you may sneek peek into their Facebook account (link here) or visit their website (link here).

For those who are interested to check some wedding ideas and themes, June Bug Wedding (www.junebugweddings.com) will provide you a good list of links and features that you might fell in love for your most special day.

Clawdaddy's Home!

Seafood + American Picnic.

Clawdaddy's brought another good news to all Dabawenyos as they opened their first ever branch outside Luzon in SM Lanang Premier here in Davao City. I felt honored and very excited to be there in the celebration of their opening together with the Davao Bloggers and the Davao Press.

Talk about picnic and fine dining, Clawdaddy's has the best of both worlds. THE best place for seafoods dining and picnic inside a mall! It will not disappoint you as I personally got surprised with their treats including their creative store layout--picnic table, outdoor-theme interiors and even trees inside the room!

As we were serenaded that morning with a soothing music and the warm smiles of the Clawdaddy's family and staff, we were re-freshened with their very own (version of four-seasons) Davao Mix. Interestingly, the drink has, take note, Davao's trademark fruits Durian and Marang!

The Davao Mix.
Rating: Smells as good as durian but doesn't overpower the taste

The rest of the menu was also full of interesting twist fused with many familiar ingredients. Clawdaddy's Chef Peter later imparted that it was their aim to make a menu that uses Davao ingredients and local products (mostly seafoods!). I initially thought of their "experiment" to be a little scary (especially when we were told that Marang is a usual ingredient in their kitchen) but my worries seemed to have left together with my hunger when we finally tried each of their specialties. The "experiment" seemed to left me wanting to come back and try some more of my (now) favorites: Fisherman Chowdr and the Tablea and Coffee Bread Pudding.

Okay. Okay. I'm getting too excited again. Enough stories and let the pictures tell you how full I was on this day.

Catch of the Day (Seriously, that is the name of the dish, no jokes!)
Rating: I could be shell-fish all day!
Tada!..and the KING! Crab of the Day in Singaporean Sauce
Rating: Need to tell more?

Under the Sun

It's Sunday. The sun was shining brightly and it was a great day to be in the field. I woke up after my three-hour sleep and headed to Davao City National High School. With nothing in mind what will happened and my shades to cover my panda eyes, I equipped my bag with two camera bodies and set out for a day that I never thought I would enjoy. The afternoon arrived, and the sun was still perfect. I sat in the middle of the field and appreciated breezy afternoon and more of what the day offered me. Luckily, I met many people, got some friends and later enjoyed a fun, fun party in their socials night.

Well, enough story-telling. And let the pictures paint a thousand words.
Thank you to the organizers for inviting me. Feel free to grab the photos here (or wait until the upload in the Facebook album to be completed by the end of the week and tag yourself). Congrats winners!
